ORIGIN
The origin of Indian Valve goes back to September 1966, following closure in India of Glenfield and Kennedy Limited, a renowned hydraulic valve manufacturing Company of Scotland. A new name and a new logo, IVC, was born. Using knowledge gained in the years before promoting IVC, the promoters were able to quickly establish a reputation of its own, struck roots in West Bengal,ventured out, floated Indian Valve Pvt. Ltd. in 1970. established a manufacturing Plant in Nashik, Maharashtra, and started consolidating the gains.
Over a period of time new designs and products were established consequent upon favourable market acceptance.. Growth led to addition of machinery some of it from Britain, branch offices in some of the metro cities in India. Today the two units operate independently to cover the market effectively.
During the year 1976 the Comapny introduced a range of Butterfly valves, manufactured in technical association with J. Blakeborough & Sons Ltd., England.
Besides supplying to the water boards, sewage projects, thermal/atomic power stations, steel plants and process industries within the country, IVC valves also found application overseas. In countries such as Malaysia, Dubai, Tanzania, Malawi, Nigeria, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Australia, Kenya, Hong Kong and Libya.
