CONTROL VALVE MAINTENANCE LTD
Richard Churn set up Control Valve Maintenance Limited in 1972 to help major industrial companies reduce their capital spending on valves by having them serviced and repaired, rather than buying new items where there was no real need.
CVML can now offer the customer a complete on or off site valve service, from consultation to a complete strip down and overhaul. Our service engineers carry specialised grinding and lapping and our workshop can reproduce many worn out and obsolete parts to keep your valves working for many more years.
SERVICE
We carry spares for Severn Glacon, Fisher Controls, Valtek, Bailey Birkett, Spirax Scarco and many more including complete replacement valves both new and service exchange units.
Not only will we repair valves but any positioner, actuator or cylinder on the market.
With over 25 years experience we can competitive rates and a fast and thorough service.
Whether you are starting a service contract, overhauling or buying new valves, please give our sales team a call.
ON OR OFF SITE
At CVM, we would always recommend that the valves are taken out of the line but we can see that it is not always possible.
Maybe because the valve has been welded into place or it is just not feasible.
Our fully trained site engineers carry inislip grinding machines with many specialised valve servicing tools. Replacement parts are carried for numerous different valve manufacturers.
Off site the valve can undergo a full service and check, which includes bead blasting in house. This means a careful cleaning process, not a third party shot blasting your valves, here they may not be treated so well.
Then a thorough inspection of all parts takes place. The castings are depth checked for wall thickness and corrosion. Plugs and seats are inspected for erosion and the nuts and studs are replaced.
If a control valve with an actuator is being serviced all soft parts will be replaced.
YOUR NEEDS
As times change so does the need to keep upgrading...or does it? Maybe that is just the general consensus.
Many of our valves may be very difficult to obtain. So what do you do? Well there's always the 12-14 week wait for replacements if they are available - that is no real help when you are trying to get the plant up and running in the ever decreasing shut down periods.
We at CVM understand this, which is why we can normally turn around a boiler set in a week with all test certificates you require.
